The South African Wedding Guide

Often brides forget to stay true to themselves when it comes to choosing a hairstyle. You'll often find a relaxed bride who always wear her hair down on a day to day basis deciding to do an upstyle for her wedding day. Leaving guests wondering who this person is. Rather collect examples of hairstyles you'll consider wearing daily, and have your chosen hairstylist glam it up for your wedding.

For an upstyle you can always add a headpiece to make your look more bridal, and if you love wearing your hair down daily, then add bit of a curl to make it interesting. With so many different styles you can opt for, take into consideration the overall feel of your wedding as well, and the type of dress you will be wearing.

A bridal headpiece often completes the bride’s look and can be considered the cherry on top. With so many styles available, this versatile accessory can be put on and taken off as the bride pleases, at different times of the day. Most traditional brides will opt for a veil during the ceremony, but consider adding a touch of flair with a stunning headpiece for your photo shoot. Buy one, or find simple DIY tutorials online to custom make your own.

Hair accessories are a hot look this summer, particularly bridal hair flowers. This fashionable trend stems back centuries to when ancient Greek brides work floral crowns of herbs and flowers. Today’s brides are doing it a little differently, and these gorgeous accessories can be worn in any number of ways, depending on the elaborateness of your bridal hairstyle. There’s an extensive range of artificial hair flowers available in an assortment of colours, fabrics and textures - some even being “authentic feel”, which look and feel like the real thing, but without the worry of wilting on the day. Many bridal hair flowers have rhinestone or pearl cluster centers, to add a touch of sparkle.
