The colour green reminds us of life, the earth and new beginnings. It’s fresh, modern as well as classic and pairs very well with other colours. But, for some reason it’s not a very popular choice of wedding colour.
I created this mood board to inspire you – so you can see how absolutely gorgeous the colour green is paired with crisp white, and how easy it will be to create an elegant and classy theme around this very diverse colour.
Keep in mind when choosing your wedding colour, that each person interprets colour differently. With so many different shades of green available, you can really play around until you find the shade of green that suits you. When selecting green centrepieces and arrangements, choose fresh limes or apples for an intense green, paired with bright leaves from a citrus tree, fresh grass and green berries. For a darker green, opt for camellias or leather leaf ferns. Succulents can be incorporated if you aren’t too fussy about the shade of green you want, as they might vary from very pale, to sometimes even a more blue shade of green.

From this mood board it’s clear that combining different shades of green, with white works well too. I absolutely love the little topiary trees holding the seating cards, and think it’s a wonderfully unique idea to type the addresses on the bottom right hand corner of the envelopes, instead of the traditional centred address. The lime wedges and sprigs of mint really makes the cocktail drinks look more appetizing and finally, as seen in the last picture, combining your seating card with a little favour is a great way of saving some extra cash for other necessities.
