
Kim Kardashian married Kris Humphries on Saturday 20th August at a private estate in Montecito.
The black-tie wedding took place in front of 440 guests including celebs like Ryan Seacrest, Eva Longoria, Lindsay Lohan, Demi Lovato, Brittny Gastineau and Avril Lavigne. All in attendance were asked to follow a black and white dress code.
Kim wore three different Vera Wang gowns and shoes by Giuseppe Zanotti. Her hair was pulled back in a bun and secured with a diamond headpiece.
Their wedding will air as a two-part special, “Kim’s Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event,” on E!.
Wedding Dress
Kim wore three different Vera Wang dresses during the course of the evening. The ceremony dress was a strapless gown with a full tulle skirt, basque waist and hand-pieced Chantilly lace appliqué on the bodice and train. After the vows, she changed into her second dress of the night, an ivory Georgette mermaid style gown with hand-pieced Chantilly lace appliqué on the bodice and a skirt with hand-cut organza petals intermixed with Chantilly lace motifs and organza sprig embroidery. The third dress was a bias-cut crepe back satin gown with V-neck and circle skirt.
Groom’s Attire
Kris wore a Ermenegildo Zegna white peak lapel tuxedo jacket, black tuxedo pants with white tuxedo shirt and white bow tie. At the reception, he changed into a black peak lapel Ermenegildo Zegna tuxedo, white tuxedo shirt and black silk bow tie.
Bridesmaid Dresses
Kardashian’s sisters, Kourtney, Khloe, Kendall and Kylie were decked out in custom ivory dresses by Vera Wang. The mermaid-style gowns had flared tulle skirts. Later in the evening, they changed into white Juicy sweatsuits.
Ceremony
According to E! News, the evening ceremony started about 30 minutes late and lasted 30 minutes. It was a traditional Christian ceremony officated by Humphries family pastor Joel Johnson.
Music
Singer Robin Thicke introduced “Mr. and Mrs. Humphries” for the first time, and then the couple enjoyed their first dance to Thicke’s “Angels.” He then invited guests on to the dance floor for the Al Green classic ”Let’s’ Stay Together.” Later in the evening, live performances were given by Earth Wind and Fire and Stevie Wonder. DJ Cassidy spun tunes for the remainder of the night.
Menu
The Wolfgang Puck catered dinner menu included Santa Barbara heirloom tomatoes with buffalo mozzarella, tomato chips, basil and salad leaves followed by a choice of hand-formed agnolotti pasta with sweet corn mascarpone and summer truffles, or roasted chicken with Yukon Gold potato puree, caramelized brussels sprouts, summer truffles and rosemary.
Cake
The six-foot tall cake, by Hansen Cakes, was a multi-tiered chocolate-and-vanilla swirl cake studded with chocolate chips. It was staged inside a giant black and white marquee.
Favours
A boxed candle, Krispy Kreme donuts.
