Singer Lily Allen tied the knot with Sam Cooper on Saturday 11 June 2011 at St. James The Great Church near her home in Cranham, UK. There were less than 100 guests in the small church where Lily married Sam, a 32-year-old owner of a building company.
The wedding was no secret. Allen’s wedding date was leaked to the press by an unknown guest, who sent the save-the-date card to British newspapers in March.
The Dress
Lily’s dress, created by the French designer Delphine Manivet, had echoes of the Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding dress, with long lace sleeves, a lace overlay, sweetheart neckline and fishtail.
The Flowers
Lily carried a bouquet of ivory, peach and baby blue flowers.
The Happy News
A morning breakfast followed the ceremony where Sam announced to family and friends that the couple is expecting a baby. The news comes seven months after Allen and Cooper announced her heartbreaking miscarriage.
The Guests
Also in attendance were Angus Deayton, the broadcaster, and Harry Enfield, the comedian, who described the ceremony as “emotional”.
The Honeymoon
Lily and Sam will celebrate their honeymoon at this year’s Glastonbury festival!
A source told The Sun: "They'll have easy access to all mod-cons. They can feel like they're camping, but there will be no roughing it." Festival organiser Michael Eavis added: ''I'll set her up a special tent - she'll have the best treatment."
