We provide music for weddings, corporate functions, birthday parties or any other occasion. The members of Cadenza are all experienced players from established symphony orchestras.
Where do we perform?
Weddings
We are available for events mainly in the Gauteng and surrounding areas. Cadenza plays before and during wedding ceremonies, with a wide repertoire of wedding music including the wedding march. You can also discuss any special requests with us. While your pictures are being taken, we can entertain the guests with a lighter variety of popular music.
Corporate functions and special celebrations
Are you planning a year-end function, Christmas party, birthday party, anniversary..? Add a special touch to the event with light classical music to create a relaxed atmosphere.

Who are we?
First violin:
Rebecca began her music studies at the age of 8 and has achieved her Associate Diploma in Music (AMusA) on violin from the Australian Music Examination Board. Whilst Rebecca has also studied cello and represented Australia at the International Youth Chorus Festival in Japan, her true love remains the violin. Rebecca has been teaching violin and theory of music for over 12 years and has been involved in numerous orchestras and ensembles in Australia.
Second violin:
Amy started learning the violin at the age of 8, through her school in the UK. She achieved Grade 8 and was a member of several orchestras during her school years. After school she performed with the Durham University Symphony Orchestra, Reading Symphony Orchestra and Aldworth Philharmonic Orchestra, all based in the UK. With the UK orchestras, Amy had the opportunity to perform in various cities in Europe including Rome, Barcelona and Prague. Since moving to South Africa, she has joined the Johannesburg Symphony Orchestra.
Viola:
Hendriena started with music lessons at the age of 5. She achieved grade 8 in viola and piano, as well as grade 6 in violin. Hendriena has played with several orchestras, including the Hortus Chamber Orchestra in Belgium. In 2008 Hendriena performed as a soloist with the Johannesburg Symphony Orchestra.
Cello:
Celèste has been passionate about music from a young age. She started piano lessons at the age of 9. The years were filled with performances in concerts, music competitions, Unisa exams and playing in an Orff group. A highlight was a broadcast on national radio at the age of 13 and a role as a pianist in a national television series at the age of 18. As an adult she decided to pursue her dream of learning the cello and is now a member of the Johannesburg Symphony Orchestra.
