Riverside Hall is a unique venue situated on a smallholding on Kragga Kamma Road, Port Elizabeth. The main building, chapel and permanent marquee nestle comfortably amongst the beautiful gardens.

Riverside Hall commenced operations in 2005 and caters for weddings, birthday parties, gala dinners, year-end parties, product launches, conferences, exhibitions, team building exercises, family days and more.

Facilities include:

A spacious reception hall that can comfortably accommodate 50 to 240, this hall can be screened of to 17.5m x 11m, 23,5m x 11m or the entire hall of 31m x 11m for maximum capacity.

A second smaller carpeted hall of 11m x 11m can be used for morning weddings and other functions of up to 100. This hall is also used as buffet station for large functions in main hall.

The unique on site chapel, a must see with its lush planting, two ponds and running stream can seat up to 160 while the beautiful gardens, ponds and small lake allow for memorable photographs of the event. All walkways are covered so that guests can stay dry even in the worst weather conditions.

Our permanent marquee can easily host functions of 300 or more. This area is totally separate from the main building and has its own entrance, bar facility, kitchen, rest rooms and parking area. Unfortunately there is no chapel with the marquee, however for weddings of 150 or less the area can be screened of to create a chapel.

This tranquil venue is ideal for conferences, team building exercises, product launches and promotions. By dividing up the larger hall breakaway rooms can be created, the gardens could even be used for informal breakaways. An added benefit is vehicle access, for display or demonstration purposes, into both halls and the marquee.

Types of Weddings

Riverside caters for all types of wedding ceremonies, mid-morning to late afternoon with receptions ranging from brunch to evening dances.

Weather permitting lawn wedding ceremonies are possible in the marquee.

Number of Guests

Hall: 50 – 240 with dance floor.
Marquee: 100 – 300 with dance floor, 300+ with out dance floor.

Dancing

Hall: Wood floor right through, dance floor size varies with number of guests and division of hall.
Marquee: Cement floor, dance floor size depends on number of guests.

Menus and Catering

Riverside offers a wide selection on the catering side. Set menus available or lists of dishes to choose from to make up own menu which will then be quoted on. Vegetarian and Halaal requirements can also be catered for.

Bar Facilities

Both Hall and Marquee has its own fully functional bar facility, no sharing to ensure that guests cannot cross over between functions. All liquor and drinks to be purchased from Riverside.

Additional Services

Various options in draping for both halls and marquee are available. Colour range; white, black and Hessian. There is a choice between white and black tablecloths. Our bespoke chairs look equally good with or with out our white chair covers. We have organza sashes and overlays in 20 colours to choose from. Tablecloths, serviettes, chair covers, sashes, overlays and draping in any other colour than those we have can be had at additional cost. Our cutlery, crockery and glassware are all included when making use of Riverside Hall or Marquee.

Although outside table decorators and florists are welcome we offer a full service of arranging, decorating and setting up your wedding or function.

We have an excellent in house caterer with a wide range of menus to choose from, halaal and vegetarian requirements can also be catered for.

Both the hall and marquee have its own large serving kitchen and a fully licensed bar to provide all the drinks you may need. All liquor and drinks have to be purchased from Riverside Hall.
